Possible infinite familiar...
 

Well i decided to knock some quests off the list that included cutscenes within them. I had my spirit terrorbird out during the entire quests and noticed that it's timer had frozen but summoning points were still draining. I tested to see if it would stay infinite by logging out and back in but the timer started up again. I don't know if anyone else has had similar experience but i thought i'd share to the community.

Edit: I did manage to keep my terrorbird out for 3 hours before i had to log out. The cutscene basically just disrupts the familiar's timer. If one could possibly find a cutscene that doesn't involve a quest, well go figure...

This sounds interesting, unfortunatly i have not had a chance to play around with summoning. no matter what bug you find, logging out usualy fixes it, although if you need to get out of a cutscene, there are otherways to do it without logging out.

Feel like telling how exactly? that could be good knowledge to discover new bugs

It's already known cutscenes can freeze their time.

when fist of guthix came out, my famiar froze. it showed ---. i had it out for a long time till i had to log out. i ran out of scrolls, so i had to get a friend to buy me them bc i couldnt get into the ge..

I can't do any cutscene i know of with a familiar out.

If you start Bounty Hunter, or most new updates they have a cutscene.

the only real way for this to work is to make it think you are still in the cut scene.

this would mean you would also get a force telle if you managed to find a way to do this.

i have heard of people dying and being force telled back to the cutscene.

with this in mind, find a way to stop the force telle, ie interfaces or delays.

or even death again.

To bad summoning is a wasted skill tbh lol this is might be good for gw's though

eh, i dont really summon either, but if i ever do rofl, then ill come here for a little bit of fun :0

I know of a cutscene that can be accessed nearly any time, although a friend of mine told me this particular one stopped working. I'm going to go try it for myself now though and edit in the results.

There was one released on RsG in the private forums although I'm not sure if the cutscene still works or not, I might test it if I have some free time.

Theirs several cut scenes that i can think of that are not one time only quest things. I know for a fact that if you escape a cut scene that places your character into a different area when the it ends you get fted back. The only ones that i have found that do this though are one time only quest cut scenes.

do the white knight part of recipe for disaster, you get a dragon token. you can activate a cutscene ANYWHERE ANYTIME. i bet this could be useful somehow? unfortunately i finished the quesst.

what about the draynor bank cut scene?
That's a decent long one.

That was one of the ones I was talking about to stall the timer.. But theirs no real way to get inside of that cut scene to get a possible ft..

Wolf Whistle is an item and it lets you have a cutscene anywhere. :D

I just read the first 2 pages and this is alot simpler then y'all are making this... Its real easy.

something like this happened to me before i was in the cutscene for a quest and my familiar appeared stuck in an area of the cutscene. when i clicked the whistle it didnt come it just didnt do anythign i had to logg out n back in for my familiar to be behind me again

err no it only works in a certain area of frenkenstrains castle

I know of 4 places off the top of my head that can give an infinite timer
