[sorta a bug] annoying people catching chins

[HIDE=1]Well when people catch red chins they pick up their box and then put it back down directly after, so the moment they pick up their box stand in the square where the box was, you light a fire, they will lay their box at the same time, and your fire will "override" it, but the server thinks the box has been layed down succesfully, so their box dispears because your fire "deletes it":)[/HIDE]

Sorry if this is a little unclear.

g00dg0d 08-29-2008 12:43 PM

This is an interesting discovery. Sounds like you could really piss someone off lol.

fluid_karma 08-29-2008 12:53 PM

Hmm I wonder what other items this could work with.

Vveget2 08-29-2008 02:09 PM

I killed a whole guys set of box traps he was stressing ;)

LinkMaster03 08-29-2008 02:58 PM

Whoa, you can actually delete their traps? That's pimp.

stallreborn 08-29-2008 04:19 PM

Lol This would own pure hunters or autoers :D

Mezala 08-29-2008 04:57 PM

you can block em wit Mithril Seeds (planted) also

Vveget2 08-29-2008 10:50 PM

Not sure if any of you are into private servers, but prehaps this would work with other player-made "global objects". ?. Such as umm, idk..lol.

Ive just though of something!

[HIDE]Light a fire as someone dies, delete their gravestone? = lose all their stuff? :)[/HIDE]

Maiznieks 08-30-2008 03:10 AM

This looks quite nice :)

Crayon Boy 08-30-2008 11:11 AM

Nice rofl, i hate when people set traps on my traps and gets the spot, ill know wot to do now :D. Thanks.

blah 08-30-2008 11:52 AM

haha thats funny imma use this so i can have the spot in hunter areas :P

LinkMaster03 08-30-2008 01:30 PM

Their traps don't disappear, they just appear on the ground under the fire. I just tried it. Each time I lit the fire on them, they continued and when they noticed I put the fire, they walked on it every time. What else would they be doing besides picking up their trap?

I haven't tried this, but I will look forward to doing it.

Vveget2 08-31-2008 01:31 AM

Linkmaster, you make a fire BEFORE they place it down, and the fire overrides it.

Teh god 08-31-2008 02:48 AM

Well there was this really annoying kid, and so i kept ranging all the chins to piss him off. But that didn't really work so i thought "hey, maybe if i make fires everywhere he couldn't lay boxes". Then we were sortof racing to each square, and we did it at the same time on the same square, and his box trap deleted and he was WTFing.
So i did it to every box and he teled away.

Thanks for the positive comments :p.
